USES4: Innovative Unmanned Systems for Renewable Energy Sources Management

New trends are involving photovoltaic (PV) power plants in recent years due to a dramatic change of the market. Plant monitoring and maintenance is becoming a crucial point in this field: plant owners and operators are requiring higher accuracy and lower costs in the maintenance to keep at top the performance of the plant.
Many companies are involved in this trend. The project is aimed to create a maintenance tool that is able to give to the final user a simple but complete status report of the plant, combining information coming from different sources, e.g. pictures taken from drones, electrical data, technical datasheet, market price and weather forecasting and economic incentives. This tool will keep track of the maintenance actions and will provide to the final user some key performance indicators of the possible strategic and operational choices.
