CLONE: Clone your home in a safe place

In a consistently aging society, improving the life quality of fragile people, both in protected facilities and at home, represents an utmost challenge. This project applies the same objective to the context of “Il paese ritrovato” (Monza), a pioneering care center where patients with Alzheimer can get all the necessary treatments while leading an almost normal life. It uses innovative and non-intrusive wearable devices to measure data on a wide set of environmental and physiological parameters, whose resultant dataset provides a real-time tracking of the elderly’s status. The detection of anomalies may be used as a predictor and/or indicator of emotional shocks. This would support the monitoring activity of the caregiver and reduce the need of the physical presence thereof, resulting in a higher sense of freedom for the elderly. The project also proposes an innovative design for a wearable device. Starting from the current trends, the solution addresses the specific needs and constraints of the patients of “Il paese ritrovato”, paving the way for further developments.
